App Useful, but Family Sync Issues
Homebudget is a functional and efficient app for personal family finances. However, data is not syncing consistently across the mobile devices. The help guide suggests resending “initial data” to the Family Sync group if not syncing correctly. But, this contradicts the premise of having data available in a cloud for all devices to access in real time. If data, such as bills or expenses, are updated from the primary device, this should be reflected across mobile devices utilizing the Family Sync group when apps open again on their device. As it stands, I have to check on my mobile device to verify that changes I made from primary device (for me, my Mac) are reflected on my mobile app. When they aren’t, I have to contact other family members to notify them that we need to resend and accept initial data - which must happen literally within a 60 second timeframe. If I didn’t check my mobile app, they would be seeing outdated information unbeknown to each of us. I hope that Anishu, Inc. will rectify this because otherwise, this is a good app. But, this is a serious issue for a finance app.
